Founded in 2018, The Seveney is a esoteric botanical bar and dining pub restaurant located on Essex Road in North London. 

We have a long and rich history. In 1086, Hugh de Berners owned woodland to farm 150 pigs. The landscape changed over the centuries, however there was still wood at Seveney Grove, on the east side of the now Essex Road near Ball’s Pond. In 1430, when the dean sold the land to John Hert of Islington, John was given permission to plough and sow all the land, as well as fill in the ditches except those that enclosed the Severney. Our bar brought back the green and the name through reviving it into a home for the now wonderful Seveny botanical bar.
