The Clarence Tavern
?????- Delivery to N16, N5, E8, E5
The Clarence Tavern in Stokey re-opened in in March 2020 thanks to Rob Webster-Shaw and Jonathan Jones, the team behind the Canton Arms, Anchor and Hope, Magdalen Arms and the now-closed 32 Great Queen Street restaurant. Harry Kaufmann (previously of 32 GQS as well as Garden Cafe and Lyle’s) is heading up the kitchen, and he’ll be cooking up seasonal menus made with produce from small-scale producers. That means dishes like smoked haddock croquettes; Turkish-style onion salad; chicken, bacon & wild garlic pie; confit duck leg with lentils & green sauce; and rhubarb fool with shortbread.
