It’s our aim to protect our vulnerable planet by encouraging as many people as possible to eat local, seasonal food. We champion sustainable farming methods and by helping our customers minimise food waste and by recycling what they can’t reuse, we are creating a circular economy.
We grow on our own farms, as well as working with a wide network of additional farmers, harnessing the potential of local growing. We provide logistics, farming expertise and investment to ensure that smaller, independent farms can concentrate on what they do best: growing exceptional produce. Our team of young farmers interweave traditional techniques with new technologies to push agricultural boundaries in exciting directions, and diversify crop production. By respecting the complexities of the natural environment, our farmers skilfully balance the relationship between land health and local ecology – all with the production of supremely delicious and exceptional quality food. We’re regenerating British farmland, creating local jobs and raising awareness of the need to support UK agriculture in the post Brexit landscape.
We also do something that we believe makes us completely unique. We are the only organisation in the UK to have closed the loop of food waste to fresh produce. We are proud of what we have achieved in such a short time. In 2019 we collected over 2500 tonnes of food waste and are now supplying fresh produce to some of the very best restaurants in London and the South East.
