Miel is a bakery and workshop space in Fitzrovia, London. Miel is my dream realised – my new home to bake, teach and build a community around the joys of baking and pastry. In a pinch, my name is Shaheen Peerbhai, and I’m a pastry chef trained in France (Le Cordon Bleu & Alain Ducasse), a cookbook author (Paris Picnic Club), and teacher.
The pastries, viennoiseries and breads at Miel are made with care, technique and precision by a small but passionate team of chefs in the morning and the baking continues through the day so you can enjoy them straight from the oven.
Flavour comes first. And for that we take great care in sourcing our ingredients. The flour is traditionally milled in Normandy, the chocolate is Valrhona, the butter from Poitou Charentes (where some of the best French butter comes from) and the eggs British free range.
Our menu is guided by the season but also included our permanent favourites. We hope you will come visit for pastry and hot chocolate. And if there’s something you fancy, just let us know and we will make it happen!
